about

Imaginary Conversations is a collection of six songs by Austrian singer/songwriter Lauringer, manifesting a period of artistic development and personal growth during her 4-year pop music study in the Netherlands. Each song is a conversational, unfiltered, at times ironic and emotional address to various persons in the songwriter’s life, ranging from a stranger on a train to lost friends and (ex-)lovers. The collection’s title is based on the fact that the singer is outing her thoughts and feelings through the safety net of music instead of having actual conversations with the addressees.
Sonically, you can hear Lauringer mature throughout the tracklist, with the latest releases “Good Catch”, “Worst Best Friend Ever” and “Thank You I Guess” marking her debut as a co-producer. With growing confidence and depth, she is slowly finding her sound and getting cozy with it.
In reference to the unpredictability and non-linearity of her personal development, the artwork signifies chaos, improvisation and spontaneity with its ransom note style and emotive photography. The concept smoothly aligns with her DIY spirit and process-oriented workflow, with both the music and the visuals being a collage of creative exploration.
